Wagtails is an exceptionally well-appointed, modern two-bedroom lodge located in the heart of the

countryside, yet a stone’s throw from the historic market town of Sherborne. The lodge has

everything to make for the perfect stay, plus its own parking and garden. Set in the pretty village of

Sandford Orcas, it benefits from country walks in all directions and a beautiful self-contained garden

from which you can soak up nature, watching deer and listening to owls and the incredible dawn

chorus.

The Space

Wagtails makes for the perfect comfortable stay, ideal for families, two couples or a special retreat

for two. A purpose-built lodge, it has been lovingly renovated throughout with all mod cons. The

open plan living area includes oak flooring and large bi-fold doors out to its own private garden with

BBQ and outdoor dining, the perfect space from which to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink

with the superb countryside vista over Corton Ridge and Cadbury Castle. The well-appointed,

modern kitchen includes an American fridge freezer and a washing machine and dryer. The large

dining table is neighboured by the living space, which includes leather sofas and a Smart TV.

There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master enjoys a super-comfortable king bed and stunning

views (to Glastonbury Tour on a clear day!). The second bedroom, which also benefits from

incredible views, can be presented as two single or as one king bed; please let us know at the time of

booking. The bathroom provides real luxury: a Mira shower, toasty towel rail and fluffy towels

ensure your winter stay is cosy!

Outside, there is parking for two cars immediately outside the lodge. The driveway is accessed

through the added security of electric gates.

Beyond your garden there is a paddock which can be used for our 4 legged friends when it is not occupied by the sheep. And when they are in residence you will get to meet them and Tamworth pigs who live in the fields across the lane, opposite the lodge – the perfect country experience!

Guest Access

The lodge is accessed from the road through electric gates, for which you will have the code. You will

have your own private parking, garden and home – there are no shared spaces.

Other things to note

Up to two dogs are permitted to stay at Wagtails, but we ask that they are not allowed upstairs.

There is to be no smoking anywhere inside the property.
